Go for the PC version if you are looking in the Worms franchise. Everything seemed static.Įxactly like Worms World Party for the PC, only with less features and fewer weapons, and worse control. Crates didn't dance and barrels didn't shift. Things that didn't even need to be syncronized were missing. All stuff involving napalm and animations of objects were missing. sure this was an internet game but just because it's internet doesn't mean that you need to cut out some of the best weapons. There wasn't even an option to change my weapons schemes as far as I could tell. You have a few preset weapon schemes and teams but you can't do much else with them because every time I tried to save a team it would be deleted. There are no saving and customizing features at all. Computer players again can rotate and place them anywhere. Great for blocking horizontal shots but not much else. Girders are forever stuck in the vertical 2 section postition. That is assuming that they don't kick it in the wrong direction (which they seemed to do a lot.) Meanwhile a computer will land every grenade on top of your head with any of the 1-5 second times. You can't change that no matter what you do. Grenades are stuck on 3 seconds minimum bouncing.
If you don't have a keyboard you will easily know exactly what I'm talking about here. It is so much easier to play this than to organize it infront of a computer screen because you can take advantage of the multiple controllers. It is very easy to sit down and play this game for an hour or two with some friends and blow most of an afternoon.

Cependant le mode solo est bien réalisé, et si jouer contre seul à Worms contre l'ordinateur ne vous dérange pas plus que ça. A moins que vous ne désiriez vous entraîner en cachette pour briller en société sur la version PC. Très franchement (encore une fois) si vous comptiez passer de longues et intenses heures avec vos camarades sur ce Worms, vous allez être déçu, car sachez que la visibilité sur la GBA n'est pas celle d'un écran de PC ou de télévision, et que vous risquez fort d'attendre votre tour en aveugle. Et très franchement, jouer à Worms en solo, c'est comme passer le réveillon seul, sans électricité, en mangeant des endives à l'eau, avec une petite coupe de Villageoise à la main. Soyons clair, on attendait Worms pour sa formidable convivialité en mode multi, qui aurait pu être géant sur Gameboy, et on se retrouve quasiment avec un jeu solo. Doch was wäre Worms ohne fiese Hinterhalte oder hämische Schadenfreude, wenn ein ausgeklügeltes Manöver doch nicht so klappt wie geplant und man den falschen Wurm in einen tödlichen Abgrund katapultiert. Die Party-Tauglichkeit von Worms ist aber nach wie vor über jeden Zweifel erhaben, auch wenn zielunsichere Anfänger von erfahrenen Profis eine Abfuhr nach der anderen erhalten. Zudem bietet der neuste Ableger der Serie auch für Solospieler jede Menge Herausforderungen, wenn auch teils mit gesalzenem Schwierigkeitsgrad. Der größte Vorteil gegenüber den Vorgängern liegt jedoch darin, dass man sich seine Gegner nun nicht jedesmal nach Hause einladen muss, sondern via Internet Kriegserklärungen in aller Herren Länder verschicken kann. Die Faszination von Worms geht nach wie vor vom vorbildlichen Multiplayer-Modus aus - das ist auch bei World Party nicht anders.
